BARNWOOD Art Show + Sale is a pop-up exhibition of queer drawings, photographs, paintings, ceramics and artwork of other mediums from dozens of artists based in New York’s Hudson Valley, New York City and beyond. Curated by the team behind Pink Stallion events & Big Gay Hudson Valley, BARNWOOD is a celebration of the male form from nude to lewd dedicated to two things: Promoting the talents of our exhibiting artists and pricing their work affordably so that guests can support them.

The exhibition will kick off with a very special opening night reception + performance of BRONCO – our all-male burlesque revue – followed by free attendance to the exhibition on Saturday & Sunday. All works on exhibition will be available for purchase. BARNWOOD 26 will also feature a marketplace packed with a curated selection of affordable gifts for you and your loved ones, including prints, holidays ornaments, apparel from Provincetown’s Adam’s Nest, and more.

The first BARNWOOD exhibition was hosted in a 19th century hay barn in Ulster Park, NY in October 2020 – the name being a cheeky nod to the venue and the material on display. 300+ visitors purchased more than 200 original works of art and three subsequent editions of the show brought in consistently larger crowds who generated more than $40,000 for the exhibiting artists. The show has helped to launch the careers of a wide range of young queer artists while also allowing the works of lesser known, more established artists to be rediscovered.
While it’s no longer hosted in a hay barn, we kept the name because we like its rustic upstate charm.
