Producer of BARNWOOD: The Hudson Valley’s Queer Erotic Art Show and Sale + Maker Marketplace focused on the male form

The other day we had the opportunity to spend some The other day we had the opportunity to spend some time in Montgomery, New York with celebrated Queer Erotic Artist, Richard Taddei. We featured some of Richard’s works in past BARNWOOD shows, but this was the first time that we were truly able to delve deep into his collection - most of which had been commissioned for magazines, like Torso, Inches, Men, Hand Jobs and more. With pieces dating back to the 70s, 80s and 90s the vintage appeal of these artwork is spectacular - and they capture the spirit of the adult male magazine that was so popular in the era. In retrospect, with most of these magazines now gone, these artworks have even more significance today. We literally left with an entire box of work, all of it will be available for sale at Barnwood on October 16, 17 and 18 at the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center in Kingston. This weekend we will announce tickets for the Friday night opening party where you’ll have the first opportunity to purchase these works and so many others. BARNWOOD returns to Kingston this October 16 - 18, BARNWOOD returns to Kingston this October 16 - 18, and we’re now accepting submissions from artists and makers. The BARNWOOD Art Show + Sale is a pop-up exhibition of queer drawings, photographs, paintings, ceramics and artwork from other mediums created by artists based in New York’s Hudson Valley, New York City and beyond. This year’s show + sale will be held at the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center in Kingston; with opening party occurring on Friday night, October 16th. Submissions close soon, and artists are encouraged to apply now. We’re excited to welcome @chrisburned of Hudson We’re excited to welcome @chrisburned of Hudson as our special guest instructor for Men’s Yoga this Sunday, February 22 at 3p at The Yoga House in Kingston. Chris completed his yoga teacher training at Sadhana Center in Hudson and volunteer teaches with MovingPotential. He lives in Hudson with his husband and cat, and we’re thrilled that he’s coming down to Kingston to join us! His focus is on mindful movement, and he incorporates breathwork, meditation, slow movements and deep stretching in his practice.
